Mini-Mini Crinoline Girl Magnet





Opposite Sleeve:
Row 1) With crinoline RS facing, join thread to first unworked dc next to bodice on row 1 of crinoline (shoulders) with a sl st; ch 4, (counts as first dc plus ch 1), (dc, ch 1, dc) in last dc: 3 dc/2 ch 1-sps.
Row 3) Ch 3, turn work (counts as first dc); dc in next 2 dc skipping ch 1 sps: 3 dc.
Row 4) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next dc leaving last dc unworked: 2 dc.
Row 5) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next dc: 2 dc. Fasten off; secure ends.
Hat:
Rnd 1) Ch 4; (9 dc) in 4th ch from hook (first 3 chs skipped count as first dc); join with a sl st to first dc (4th ch of beg ch 4): 10 dc.
Rnd 2) Ch 3, dc in joining, ch 1; * (2 dc) in next dc, ch 1; rep from *around; join with a sl st to first dc: 20 dc/10 ch 1-sps.
Rnd 3) Sl st in next dc and ch 1 sp; ch 1, sc in same sp, ch 3; * sc in next ch 1 sp, ch 3; rep from * around; join with a sl st in first sc: 10 sc/10 ch 3-sps. Fasten off; secure ends.
Finishing Materials:

  • 1/2-yd (1/8″ W) ribbon

  • Finishing:
    Spray pieces with water or spray starch, if desired and shape on a terry towel to dry. Once dried, glue hat to top of shoulders using the photo as a guide. Clip ribbon in half. Tie each piece into a bow and glue one bow to hat and the other to waist using the photo for placement. Attach magnet to back. Enjoy!

    Fan:
    Finished Size: 2" W x 1 1/4" T

    Row 1) Ch 4, (8 dc) in 4th ch from hook (first 3 chs skipped count as first dc): 9 dc.

    Row 2) Ch 3, turn work (counts as first dc); dc in same st; * ch 1, sk next dc, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * across: 10 dc/4 ch 1-sps.

    Row 3) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next dc; * ch 1, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * 6 times, ch 1, dc in last 2 dc: 16 dc/7 ch 1-sps.

    Row 4) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next dc; * ch 1, sc in next sp, ch 1, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next ch 1 sp; rep from * 3 times, ch 1, sc in next sp, ch 1, dc in last 2 dc: 16 dc/11 ch 1-sps. Fasten off; secure ends.

    Finishing:

    Spray fan with water or spray starch, if desired and shape on a terry towel to dry. Once dried, fan can be trimmed with miniature floral.




    Closed Parasol:
    Finished Size: 3 1/2" T (w/handle) x 1/2" W.

    Ch 4; join with a sl st in first ch.

    Row 1) Ch 3, (2 dc) in joining: 3 dc.

    Row 2) Ch 3, turn work; (2 dc) in next dc, dc in next dc: 4 dc.

    Rows 3-4) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next 3 dc: 4 dc.

    Row 5) Ch 3, turn work; dc dec over next 2 dc, dc in next dc: 3 dc.

    Row 6) Ch 2, turn work; dc dec over next 2 sts (counts as a dec over 3 sts) see special sts: 1 st.

    Row 7) Ch 7, turn work; dc in first st, (ch 3, dc in same st) 3 times: 5 dc/4 ch 3-sps. Fasten off; secure ends.

    Closed Parasol Handle:

    Row 1) Join thread to 3rd dc on last rnd with a sl st (center dc); ch 20. Fasten off; secure ends.

    Finishing:

    Spray parasol with water or spray starch, if desired and shape on a terry towel, arranging the bottom of the handle into a “U-shape.” Let dry.




    Open Parasol:
    Finished Size: 3 1/2" T (w/ handle) x 3 1/4" W.

    Ch 4; join with a sl st in first ch.

    Row 1) Ch 3, (8 dc) in joining: 9 dc.
