Free Crinoline Accessory Pattern Set

Sm amt 100% cotton thread, size 10
Steel crochet hook size 8 (USA) (1.50 mm)

Finished Size: See individual patterns
Gauge: Not important to over all size

Skill Level: Easy - Intermediate

Special Stitches:
Dc Dec: (Yo, insert hook in st indicated, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook) as many times as stated, yo, draw through all lps on hook to complete the st.

Fan:
Finished Size: 2" W x 1 1/4" T

Row 1) Ch 4, (8 dc) in 4th ch from hook (first 3 chs skipped count as first dc): 9 dc.

Row 2) Ch 3, turn work (counts as first dc); dc in same st; * ch 1, sk next dc, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * across: 10 dc/4 ch 1-sps.

Row 3) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next dc; * ch 1, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * 6 times, ch 1, dc in last 2 dc: 16 dc/7 ch 1-sps.

Row 4) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next dc; * ch 1, sc in next sp, ch 1, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next ch 1 sp; rep from * 3 times, ch 1, sc in next sp, ch 1, dc in last 2 dc: 16 dc/11 ch 1-sps. Fasten off; secure ends.

Finishing:

Spray fan with water or spray starch, if desired and shape on a terry towel to dry. Once dried, fan can be trimmed with miniature floral.




Closed Parasol:
Finished Size: 3 1/2" T (w/handle) x 1/2" W.

Ch 4; join with a sl st in first ch.

Row 1) Ch 3, (2 dc) in joining: 3 dc.

Row 2) Ch 3, turn work; (2 dc) in next dc, dc in next dc: 4 dc.

Rows 3-4) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next 3 dc: 4 dc.

Row 5) Ch 3, turn work; dc dec over next 2 dc, dc in next dc: 3 dc.

Row 6) Ch 2, turn work; dc dec over next 2 sts (counts as a dec over 3 sts) see special sts: 1 st.

Row 7) Ch 7, turn work; dc in first st, (ch 3, dc in same st) 3 times: 5 dc/4 ch 3-sps. Fasten off; secure ends.

Closed Parasol Handle:

Row 1) Join thread to 3rd dc on last rnd with a sl st (center dc); ch 20. Fasten off; secure ends.

Finishing:

Spray parasol with water or spray starch, if desired and shape on a terry towel, arranging the bottom of the handle into a “U-shape.” Let dry.




Open Parasol:
Finished Size: 3 1/2" T (w/ handle) x 3 1/4" W.

Ch 4; join with a sl st in first ch.

Row 1) Ch 3, (8 dc) in joining: 9 dc.

Row 2) Ch 3, turn work; (2 dc) in first st; * ch 1, sk next dc, (3 dc) in next dc; rep from * across: 15 dc/4 ch 1-sps.

Row 3) Ch 3, turn work; dc in next dc; * (dc, ch 3, dc) in next ch 1 sp, sk next dc, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * 3 times, (dc, ch 3, dc) in last ch 1 sp, sk next dc, dc in last 2 dc: 18 dc/4 ch 3-sps.

Row 4) Ch 2, turn work; dc in next dc (counts as first dec); * ch 3, sc in next sp, ch 3, sk next dc, dc dec over next 2 dc see special sts; rep from * across: 5 dec/8 ch 3-sps.

Row 5) Ch 6, turn work; sc in next sp; * ch 5, sc in next sp; rep from * across, ch 3, dc in last dc: 7 ch 5-sps/2 ch 3-sps/2 end dc.

Row 6) Ch 1, turn work; sc in first st; * (dc, ch 5, dc) in next sc, sc in next sp; rep from * across, (dc, ch 5, sc) in last sc, sc in last dc: 16 dc/9 sc/8 ch 5-sps.

Row 7) Ch 3, turn work; sc in next sp; * (dc, ch 5, dc) in next sc, sc in next sp; rep from * across, dc in last st: 14 dc/8 sc/2 end dc/7 ch 5-sps. Fasten off; secure ends.

Open Parasol Handle: Row 1) Join thread to center dc dec on row 4 (3rd dec) with a sl st; ch 25. Fasten off; secure ends.

Row 4) Ch 3, turn work; (2 dc) in next dc, dc in next dc; * ch 1, dc in next dc, (2 dc) in next dc; rep from * across: 16 dc/3 ch 1-sps.

Row 5) Ch 30; turn work; sl st in last st on row 4 (handle formed). (Do not end off).

Row 6) (Working down side of basket); (ch 2, sc over next dc post on end) 4 times, ch 2, sc in beg ch (row 1), hdc in same st, (2 hdc) in each ch across, (working back up the basket side), (ch 2, sc over next dc post on end) 4 times, ch 2; join with a sl st in first st. Fasten off; secure ends.

Finishing:

Spray basket with water or spray starch, if desired, and shape on a terry towel to dry.
